The Question, Episode 73 – I’m Not Dead Yet!

Episode 73 has arrived! In this episode we question the morality of using technology to put the dead on screen or in advertising, but not before lamenting our own inability to use technology to welcome a very alive Andy Poulastides back to the show for this discussion. Along the way, we have an aviation-related 3 questions, get some new listener feedback, and make some really inappropriate comments about beloved actors, actresses, and historical figures.

Next week, we look at little white lies, and the ways that technology is limiting our ability to tell them. Calling in sick when you’re not sick? Better be careful what you say on facebook, or which images you post to instagram… You didn’t get my message? My phone says you were logged on at the time I sent it! These, and other scenarios are part of today’s technological world, forcing us to be more honest (or, more careful & creative liars). So, in our next episode we’d like to know, Is it a GOOD thing or a BAD thing that technology is making it difficult to tell “little white lies”???

In Episode 67, we finally disclose why we hardly ever record on time, Melissa cries a bit, and at some point we get to discussion our Question: Is the book always better?

Next week, we take on a social Question. This show has a morbid fascination with that fabled land of Florida – as we and our listeners know, if you want wacky news stories, you only need look as far as Florida, because that place is full of crazies, right??? Well, it’s a quaint punchline, but is it really a fair assessment, or simply a response to a strange media fixation on the state? Next week, we’re asking the Question: Do we let the media unfairly paint our perceptions of other places and their people, and if so, why do we allow it?

The Question, Episode 65 – Not Necessarily the News

In Episode 64, we touched on haterism and why we engage in it. And it turned out that the object of a lot of that hate tends to be celebrities. So in Episode 65, we asked the Question- Why do we care so much about celebrity news? It seemed a progression in the conversation, and it proved to be an interesting topic for us and our feedbackers!

This episode also saw the return of 3 Questions by one of more diabolical feedbackers, and plenty of grasping at straws as we search for ways to answer that don’t mean eternal damnation. Fun times abound!

Next week, it’s our Valentine’s Day special, so our Question revolves around the special relationships you have with your significant other. Specifically, we want to know: What are some things your partner does that drive you INSANE?!?!?! We don’t mean that sweet little thing that he or she does that makes you all weak in the knees. No, us being the unsentimental people we are, we want to know about the irritating things they do that just get under your skin and make you proclaim that if you didn’t love them, you’d hate them. Isn’t that sweet?

So, send us your feedback! If you’re feeling especially brave, get your partner to feedback with you!! We’re recording on February 15, 2014 at 6pm, EST. You can send e-mail to thequestionpodcast (at) gmail (dot) com, or you can leave us a message on The Question Line at (347) 9ASKUS9 ( (347) 927-5879 ).
